  I co-founded Olive, LLC. in 1997 with Bob Troia. For a decade I was at Olive doing so much work that even going through it to decide what to put on this page brings up massive nostalgia. Over the years we had three different versions of the site, two different identity systems, countless brochures...well, you get the picture. But the Olive logo is my favorite logo that i ever designed, and the fastest. Once we came up with the name (which took weeks), i made the logo in about an hour. "An open letter to Axl Rose" - Take 2
OK, so this takes some explaining. In 2000, we heard the original rumors that Chinese Democracy was going to be released. We were HUGE Guns N' Roses fans and wanted to be the ones to design the new site. So, we posted our open letter and it really caught on. Unintentionally, it ended up getting us a bunch of new work from everyone but Axl. At one point we even got a call or email from the GnR rep at Interscope saying that she had seen the letter and loved it, but not even she had the ability to get in touch with Axl.
